From a small family business to a fully integrated maker.
The Moamen family started Wagdy Moamen in 1980, in the heart of Egypt's textile industry, with a lifelong passion for the craft.
Step by step, the company grew from a few thousand metres a month into a fully integrated group. By the late 1990s our fabrics reached their first export customers. In 2004 we began designing with Italian studios, and global brands joined the journey.
In 2010 we brought our weaving mills, our dyehouse and our shirt making together in one new plant in El Obour, equipped with European machinery. Today the family's third generation leads the company as Wagdy Moamen Successors for Textile Industry.
